A little stroller fun

One day I walked into my livingroom to find a pile of pillows in the middle of the floor. Later I discovered this is the reason for it.

Oh the fun things daddy creates for the two of them.

** the falling out of the stroller is *always* dramatized. no one was hurt in the making of this film.

Our Return back to the City

When Elizabeth and I went back home to surprise my mom for her 50th, it was our first time ever leaving Jonathan. I am not sure if we will be allowed to leave again. :)

I knew Elizabeth was going to be excited to see her daddy since she had asked for him all week. Being like any camera-happy mom, I wanted to capture the moment on video. Excuse the hand in the camera and Elizabeth's 'lovely' face at the end. Jon wanted a kiss. And Elizabeth, well, she's not much for sharing her daddy.

Surprise!

This past week Elizabeth and I flew in for my mom's 50th birthday. My brother paid for us a ticket and we headed down to NC to surprise her. I had everything figured out with how the surprise would go. Little did we know that my mom surprised us. She never give gets home from work as late as she did that night. It was almost 8:15 before she rolled into the driveway. We only waited for 2 hours, hiding in the subdivision waiting for her to stroll in. It was dark, but I tried to capture the moment anyway. Here it is:

If I would have continued to record, my mom said, "There ain't no way! I know you..I know you!" Apparently she thought the little girl she heard on the porch was a random neighbor child wanting to sell her something.

We (my brother, Jon and I) took bets on how my mom would respond. Jon was a little dramatic as he predicted she would pee on herself and then pass out. My brother and I thought she would cry.

and cry she did. We had a great time pulling off the surprise and spending time with family. I think I was a bit insane to travel 32 weeks pregnant with a toddler all by myself. Needless to say, I am feeling the oxymoron of vacation--I still need more rest!
